I, the parent or legal guardian of the child named above, understand that participation in cooking classes involves certain risks. These include, but are not limited to, the use of kitchen equipment such as knives, ovens, stoves, and cheese graters, as well as handling food that may be raw or hot. I voluntarily accept all risks associated with my child’s participation in these classes. I hereby release and discharge the Merry Kitchen and its representatives from any claims or liabilities that may arise from my child’s participation, including but not limited to injuries or illnesses. While the Merry Kitchen is committed to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, it is important to recognize that inherent risks are always present in any cooking setting—particularly when children are involved. By enrolling your child in the Merry Kitchen’s cooking classes, you acknowledge and accept that, despite all reasonable precautions taken, it is not possible to eliminate all potential hazards. We strongly encourage you to discuss safety with your child before their participation and to emphasize the importance of following the instructor’s directions at all times. *

Cancellation Policy

For classes listed on the website calendar, there is a 24 hour in advance refund policy. No same day refunds, unless weather prevents class attendance. No call, no show do not get credit towards another class.

For summer camps, I need 5 days in advance for a full refund. There is a fee that I do not get back when you cancel and that will come out of your refund.

If you give less than 5 days, but more than 48 hours, I can credit you one future single day class. I cannot give any refunds or credits with less than 24 hours notice as I have already shopped for groceries by that point. No refunds for not showing up with any notice.

For birthday parties, I need at least 5 days notice for a full refund. If you give me less than 5 days notice, you forfeit the $100 deposit. If you need to reschedule your party, we can move your deposit towards the new date. If we can’t find a date that works, you either need to keep the original date or forfeit your deposit.
